Seasonal Spring produce

Seasonal Spring produce

We love to eat seasonally and locally. Food that is seasonal is fresh as well as more plentiful. By eating what is available locally you support local farmers and importantly reduce food miles. Here is a list of some beautiful seasonal spring produce that are particularly at their peak through Spring.

Growing seasonal Spring produce

Spring is a great time to try growing some of your own food. You don’t need a huge amount of space to get started. Herbs are great to have on hand to add healthy zing to your food.

Farmers markets are a great way to find what is in season locally. A good resource for doing this is the Victorian Famers market association. On the Surfcoast we have the Torquay famers market on each Saturday in Torquay North.
